The Patient Involvement Group ('PIG') is a small group of volunteer patients who meet every 6 weeks to talk about key issues regarding the Practice. There is also a new “Virtual group” through which members can keep in touch and raise issues for discussion.
Everyone may suggest items for consideration and there is always an Agenda for each meeting.
Meetings keep people informed about what is going on generally in General Practice and Health & Social Care as well as considering what needs to be done in Sedlescombe and Westfield Surgeries. Members can get involved with individual projects or take on responsibility for following up anything the group needs doing.
Potential new members may discuss their interest by contacting the Practice Manager or ideally by filling in the form on our leaflet. It is possible to sit in on a meeting to see what happens with no pressure to join if you wish!
If you are interested in being involved, pick up our PIG leaflet or ask at reception, or you can download and print one from by clicking here

Further information regarding how the group is organised, what it aims to achieve as well as additional information about how patients may join the Meeting Group or the Virtual Group will be available on this page in mid April 2018.
The PIG does not deal with concerns or complains raised by patients, the route for any issues of this type is through the Practice Manager where they can be fully discussed and followed through.
The PIG is not a fundraising organisation for the Surgeries.
